Are Your Neighbor’s Spying on you with Drones?
We all want to feel some kind of privacy when we’re at home (even in a place like New York City where any given number of windows look across to your living room!). Here is how it happens – your neighbor decides to buy a drone (and hopefully registers it). Pretty soon you start to hear a buzzing sound as they try it out in the yard until one day you look out at the window and the camera of your neighbors drone is staring at you. Death of Oregon Refuge Occupier Captured by FBI Drone
By now I’m guessing you have at least heard the news about the standoff in Oregon between some local residents and the Federal Government over land use and individual property rights etc. The situation seems to be winding down after some tense few weeks, but at least one person paid with their life after a traffic stop. It was all captured on video by an F.B.I Drone – See Below
Get your A.A. Degree from ISU in Drone Technology
Idaho State University will apparently be offering a two year degree in Drone Technology coming up in the fall. There’s a press release on this here but couldn’t find much else just yet. Makes sense to us.
FAA Registers about 300,000 Unmanned Aircraft Owners
As you probably read, recent requirements by the FAA meant that if you owned a UAV or Drone you now have to register. Early numbers are out in and it looks like in the first 30 days or so close to 300K people registered. That’s a lot of folks out there to keep track of but it sounds like people are complying for the most part.
